Who is responsible for your data

What data we collect

We collect only the data you give us voluntarily, plus the minimum technical data needed to run and protect the site.

• Contact form data: your name, phone number, email address, the service you are interested in, and the message you write.
• Technical request data: your IP address and the originating page, used to limit abuse and to know which enquiry each message belongs to.
• Call data: when you call the number shown on the site, the call is routed through a telecoms provider, which records the calling number, date and duration.
• Site usage data, only if analytics tools are active — see the Cookie Policy.

Why we use your data, and on what basis

We use your data to respond to your enquiry and to pass it to the partner company that carries out the service you asked about. The legal basis is the pre-contractual step you request by contacting us (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).

We use technical data to protect the site against abuse and to keep it secure, on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping the service available and safe (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Where active, analytics tools rely on your consent, which you may withdraw at any time (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR).

Who has access to your data

We do not sell your data and we do not use it for targeted advertising. We share it only with the following categories of recipient, and only as far as necessary:

• The partner company that provides the service you requested, so it can prepare and send you a quote.
• Providers of hosting and infrastructure for the site and for the database where your enquiry is stored.
• The email delivery provider that notifies us of new enquiries.
• The telecoms provider that routes phone calls.
• Public authorities, where we are legally required to do so.

Transfers outside the European Economic Area

Some of the providers we use are companies based outside the European Economic Area, which may involve transferring your data to third countries. Such transfers are made under the safeguards provided for in the GDPR, in particular standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.

How long we keep your data

We keep your enquiry for as long as it is needed to respond to you and to follow the matter through to its conclusion, and afterwards for as long as any applicable legal obligation requires. Once the data is no longer needed for any of those purposes, it is deleted.

You can ask us to delete your data at any time, as described below.

Your rights

You may exercise the following rights at any time and free of charge, by contacting us at geral@serralharia-albufeira.pt:

• Access the data we hold about you and obtain a copy.
• Correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete.
• Ask us to erase your data.
• Ask us to restrict processing.
• Object to processing based on legitimate interest.
• Receive the data you provided in a structured, commonly used format.
• Withdraw consent where processing relies on it, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

Complaints

If you believe your data is not being handled in line with applicable law, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD), the supervisory authority in Portugal, at www.cnpd.pt.

Security

The site is served only over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Enquiries sent through the form are validated on the server, protected against automated submissions, and stored in a database with restricted access. No system is completely secure, but we apply technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk.

Automated decisions

We do not make automated decisions or carry out profiling that produces legal effects concerning you or similarly significantly affects you.

This policy may be updated whenever necessary. The date it was last updated is shown at the top of the page.
